I am desperately trying to find the name of Elisha Perry's father. Elisha was born 5 Oct 1790 and was married to Mary (Polly) Harrell. All the family trees and various genealogy sites lists Elisha's father as PUTNAM PERRY. However, I know this to be wrong. There has never been a Putnam Perry in the entire State of North Carolina - much less Perquimans County, NC. I am positive that Elisha came through the line of Joseph, Jacob and John Perry, but I have been unable to find a record of his birth showing who his parents were. If anyone out there could help I would appreciate very much. Will gladly share information and sources.
