Hi Board...
I am new to this board, and I thought I would post a message inquiring if any one has any information on this surname in Perquimans Co.
Nathaniel Caruthers was the third sherrif in this area around 1746. I have just started researching this line of my family, so I don't even have birth or death info yet. Only a few names:
Jacob Caruthers (Scotland? N. Ireland?)>
Nathaniel Caruthers>
James>
William (Sp. Elizabeth Bickum)>
James (Sp. Elizabeth Saunders)
