There is a Will for WILLIAM SIMPSON Pasquotank County N.C. dated 1797 that lists sons Robert, John, Jesse and daughter POLLY (nickname for Mary) Witnesses Samuel Scott and John Casey.

There is a John Simpson in Bertie, NC 1790 Census

I have Bertie, Perquiman, Pasqutank connections & New Hanover -

There is also in New Hanover -

William Simpson living in NC. - 1790 -

William Simpson Mecklenburg, NC
Charles Simpson New Hanover, NC
Federick Simpson New Hanover, NC (FREDERICK ??)
MRS. Ann Simpson New Hanover, NC
William Simpson New Hanover, NC

Have Chowan Co., NC, 1790 Federal Census
Simson, Evan................1-2-2----
Simson, John................2---1---2
Simson, Mary................1-1-2---1
Simson, William.............4-3-3---9
Simson, John, Junr..........2-5-3---1

I have a few deeds with WILLIAM SIMPSON in Chowan, Pasquotank also but I have not run across FREDERICK in my research.
