Hello, Kathy,
I don't know if your is connected to Adam. Was your James Native American? This Adam Stuart/Stewart was a member of the Sappony tribe. Their tribal area encompassed land in both Person Co., NC and Halifax Co., VA. The Sappony tribal center is in Virgilina, VA (just over the Person Co., line). There are many Stewarts buried around the area. They have a close tie to the Epps family.
