Nancy I do not remember if I thanked you for the info you sent me, but I do thank you. If you can help me find the parents of Henderson Black born 1806 in Va or N. C. I would be on top of the world. We thought he was the son of Robert and Lucy Gill Black, but Robert died in 1801 and we found a list of his children. Lucy raised Henderson and brought him to Calloway Co. Ky where she gave him and her son Hardy her land. He died there in the 1880s. He could be a nephew of hers or a neighbors child, could be illeg. I would like to know any thing you could find about Thornton Black son of Robert and Lucy Black. He stayed in N. C. when Lucy moved to Tn and Ky. I think he was in Person Co. N. C. at age l1 he was apprenticed to someone in Person Co.
