Can anyone tell me if the Pitt county Courthouse is one of the burnt ones? I need a copies of at least one deed from the 1760-1770's of which I found a published abstract.

Is there a published index to these deeds, I need to know if there are any deeds for the Collins surname between 1750-1775 that show up.

Is anyone living in Pitt County that could actually go to the courthouse for a small fee?
