Lemuel DeBerry and Son, General Store, Pitt County, North Carolina. I have an old leather ledger with the first dates being 1804. It appears to be from a store: Lemuel Deberry and Son. All the ledger pages written in a beautiful hand scrip The ledger is now missing either it front cover or back cover, but on the inside of the leather book is written Bought at Lemuel Deberry July the 17, 1817. Also on the same page is written Lemuel DBerry and Son. Etheldred Deberry had an account on page 93. Benjamin Deberry and a Thomas Oberry also had accounts. This ledger doesn't contain any genealogy only charges, goods sold, cash given and lots of names from Pitt County, NC. My question is where was the general store located in Pitt County, NC. It must be on the south western part of the county by some of the names listed. Any help appreciated. I am not a DeBerry descendant only interested in giving credit to the original owner of the ledger.
Betty
