Sometimes DAR can be very strict and very picky. I would get a copy not just of the will but of estate papers, guardianship papers, etc. regarding the estate and submit all of it. Because you will find that people back then liked to name children after relatives- and there may be several people of the same name, and estate papers and guardianship papers can sometimes be the only way to sort people out. Contact the Randolph County courthouse (Google it) and see what records exist for that estate.
