I am a descendant of Gabriel Hylton who was born 8 Mar. 1828 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia and died 10 Jan. 1875 in Surry Co., North Carolina. He married Lucy Agnes Fulton on 13 Jan. 1851 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia. Lucy was born 26 Sep 1829 in Pittsylvania Co., Virginia and died Dec. 1901 in Surry Co., North Carolina.

Gabriel and Lucy had seven children: Jeremiah Abner, Martha, Nancy, George Valentine, William, Gabriel Luther and Jennie.

I am glad you are doing DNA testing on the various surname of Hylton. I would like to be kept up to date regarding the DNA project. It just seems so unreal for someone to be working on this type of project.
