Seeking parents of William Garner b. @1780-90, who married Elizabeth Cox 14 Feb 1812 in Randolph Co, NC. She was a Quaker and disowned.
In 1810 Census for Randolph Co., there are six men with the last name Garner: John, John, Jr., Shutul (Shubul?), Jesse, and George. Several have sons who could be William--or not.
They moved first to western NC (based on a sons birthplace) and then across the border to Pickens District, SC. Garners are there whom others have connected to the Garner/Keene line, but no one seems to have known about William. He and Elizabeth had ten children:
Emsley
Samuel Jesse
Sarah
Letty
Edna
Elizabeth
William
Mary A.
Thomas M.
Nancy A.
If anyone has knowledge of William's parentage, I would welcome the assistance.
