Do you have any dates as to their birth or marriage?
I find NO Pat/Patricia as being wife of any John Jackson in the Randolph Co. Census records for 1850/60 or 70. Here are the marriage records which were recorded in Randolph Co. for John Jackson:
John Jackson to Rosanna Henson 24 Aug. 1809
John Jackson to Mary (Polly) Bundy 7 Oct. 1825
John Jackson to Ruth Andrews 8 Sep. 1845
John Jackson to Martha Nance 28 Nov. 1895
Perhaps they lived in a surrounding county such as Guilford, Davidson, Orange, Montgombery, Moore or Rowan? Have you checked these?
