MICAJAH ROGERS is listed having been in War of 1812 and was detached from MONTGOMERY CO. NC. We think MICAJAH ROGERS may be same person as the later MICHAEL ROGERS of the 1830 Carroll Co. TN census and is listed then as MICAJAH ROGERS on the 1840 Carroll Co. TN census and by 1850 Carroll Co. TN census is listed as : 1850 Carroll Co. TN census : Dist. 17 HH 1947 M. ROGERS M age 65 born NORTH CAROLINA Mary Rogers F age 65 born NORTH CAROLINA Martha Swayne F age 35 born NORTH CAROLINA Ambrous B. " M age 02 born TENNESSEE HH 1948 JOHN ROGERS M age 32 born NORTH CAROLINA Mahala Rogers F age 33 born NORTH CAROLINA James M. Rogers M age 09 born TENNESSEE We assume that Martha Swayne is a daughter of Micajah Rogers and wife Mary, and that her son Ambrous B. Swayne is also living with them. Next door appears to be another ROGERS male of age to be son to Micajah And Mary Rogers and brother to Martha Swayne. We have no further info on this family but believe as SWAYNES also lived with our ROGERS family in the 1850 Carroll Co. TN census too, that our WILLIAM L. ROGERS and family of Montgomery Co. NC who moved to Carroll Co. TN by 1823 have a connection to Micajah Rogers but he is not listed in the Will of William Rogers so we discount him being a son to William L. Rogers b. 1770 Montgomery Co. NC who died 1842 in Carroll Co. TN. William L. Rogers is son of JAMES ROGERS Jr. b. abt. 1746 whose land was entered into Montgomery Co. NC in summer of 1779 and this land was located along Long Creek, Riles Creek, and Curl Tail creek in Montgomery Co. NC. Our William L. Rogers line is now DNA tested as well as tested on the haplogroup which is now listed as R1b1b2a1b5 indicating that our ROGERS are tested to be from SCOTLAND and not ENGLISH and were possibly the MacRORY scots who were SCOTTISH Mercenaries who went to Ireland from Scotland. We need to know if anyone is also reseaching MICAJAH ROGERS and or MICHAEL ROGERS who was born about 1785 NORTH CAROLINA and enlisted in the War of 1812 and was detached from MONTOMERY CO. NC and who possibly later on is the same man shown in CARROLL Co. TN Census's as both Michael Rogers and Micajah Rogers who had wife MARY. If anyone has info on MICAJAH ROGERS b. abt 1785 NC and had enlisted in War of 1812 and detached from Montgomery Co. NC please post. I assume that Micajah Rogers could have been from any surrounding county to Montgomery or a few counties further out from Montgomery, such as Johnston Co. NC, ROWAN CO.NC, RANDOLPH CO NC, and etc. We know that some of our DNA MATCHES in the ROGERS family were out of SURRY CO. VA to NC and some are listed in both Chatham and Johnston Co. NC later on, but I have not researched the ROGERS in those two counties and we need help with MICAJAH ROGERS and his unknown parents as many coincidences are known between Micajah Rogers and our William L. Rogers family of Montgomery Co. NC to Carroll Co. TN. William L. Rogers had a brother listed by NC being a ZACHARIAH ROGERS ( b. bet. 1775 - 1785 NC ) and Zachariah Rogers left his 1837 Rowan Co. NC will listing that his plantation go to his son SAMUEL ROGERS and that if Samuel died he wanted the estate to go to an ALLIN / ALLEN ROGERS the son of a RANDAL/ RANDOL ROGERS. The only Randal / Randol Rogers I have seen listed nearby to Montgomery Co. NC in that time period would be the one in Randolph Co. NC. We have no other info on Allen/ Allin Rogers and his father Randal / Randol Rogers of Randolph Co.NC but know that Zachariah Rogers had married SARAH CHEHSER in 1820 Rowan Co. NC. Unknown is whether Samuel Rogers was a son of Sarah Chesher or a first wife to Zachariah who is believed to be the same person shown as Z. Rogers on the 1810 Montgomery Co. NC census, but later is shown as Zachariah Rogers in Rowan Co. NC Census's. Any help with Micajah Rogers, Randal Rogers and Allen Rogers would be appreciated. Thanks for any help, Tina Rogers Beller trb143@windstream.net Notify Administrator about this message?
