I found this Benjamin Williams in the 1790 Randolph Co., N.C. Census and am interested in finding more abt him. I know he's shown at WorldConnect site with wife Hannah McMannus with children listed; among them are a John Williams b. bef. after 1795. Also on that census were listed surnames that are also connect to my John H. Williams b. 1800 N.C.; the connecting names there were Cranford,Lollar, & Milton (Melton)
My John H. Williams was found 1830 Fayette Co., Ala. with land next to an Elija Melton.
It's said that John H. Williams maarried a Mary Melton b. 1811 Washington Co., Ky.

Could my John H. be the son of Bejamin and Hannah?
