I checked the census records for you to see what I might could find regarding his parentage...I did find a John W. Foust age 17 living in the Providence Twshp of Randolph Co. He was living with the Samuel and Nancy Wood family. He is listed as a nephew. Perhaps Nancy was his mother or father's sibling?
