I wonder if Elmina, Rebecca, and William were missed on the 1850 census because they were travelling with their father, especially if John Elijah was a prospector. I looked thoroughly and I can't find them.

I can see by the MO birth records data base that Rebecca A Rooker married Larkin A McFarland and gave birth to a child 12 Dec 1883
