there is very little known of my husband's father.My hasband never knew him. He left the family when my husband was very young.
His name is Lowell Allen Moffit. He was born in Ill. we think. Somewhere in central Ill. a place called possibly Deland Ill. He was born a Perkins and his mother died when he was born.He was born at home we believe. She may have been Indain and last name may have been Reeves. His fathers name may have been Lorin Perkins. And he had 2 brothers Dale who was around 3 years older and Forrest who was around 2 years older. His birth day we believe was 7 May 1920. He was adopted from a Children's home in Lamoni, Iowa by Mr and Mrs Chester Moffit of Dunn Center N. Dak. in about 1925.
He married my husband's mother Elnor or Elnora Snow in or around Dunn County N. Dak. They had 2 son's Leonard Allen Perkins Moffit b. 19 april 1944 and another son Tommy b. possibly 1945 to 1948. Born in Dunn County N.D. Tommy died when he was 4 or 5 years old, in Washington. Lowell had aready left them before that.They still lived in Dunn County when he left.
Lowell May have died in or around Dever Colorado in the late 60's or 70's we don't know.
My husband has been unsucessful in finding any infomation on his father. Or Grandparents. Thank you for any help you may be albe to give.
