Hi Cullen,
Thank you so much for your offer to provide copies of the census; but there is no need as I can go online to Ancestry.com and find them.
Back in 1995 when I became interested in family history, I came across some Gray names living in the surrounding counties too. However, upon looking into other Kootenai County records I found sisters and children who were mentioned in wills etc but none mentioned a Mary E. or Minnie Gray Maitland. Therefore, until recently I had given up finding anything about her.
There is one other active mutual family researcher but we have never met because he is an ice trucker in Alaska. One day we may connect long enough for me to ask him if he has any Gray family information. He is the son of the youngest daughter of the youngest daughter of Minnie and Frederick Maitland, i.e. Jane L Maitland.
