My map shows "Appleton School" 0.5 m. N and 4.5 m. W of Bruno, NE. Just east of the school is evidence of a church. I do not know if either of these buildings still exist.

The school location was 1 m. S and 1 m. W of the northeast corner of Franklin Precinct [township].
