His name is Dennis Leon Oberlander, born in 1947. His father, Leon Michael Oberlander, came to Iowa during the 1920's from Nebraska. He died in Davenport, Iowa in 1978. His father was Joseph Oberlander who was married to Katherine Schleicher and they lived in the Grafton-Scottsbluff area. Leon had little contact with the family after he left the area, but he did have a brother named William who was married to Helen who came to visit him after he moved to Iowa.
