Hello Lynn Please be advised that Nebraska did not start keeping birth certificates until at least 1904. The only way I have been able to trace my family that was born during the early 1900's and prior is through the Nebraska Census records 1900, 1880 and the 1885 State Cenus and through Church Records and if they still exist through newspaper accounts. Thankfully my family was Methodist and I have been able to find baptismal dates, dates of marriages and sometimes even date of death. at the Methodist Archieves located in the Basement of the Library of the Nebraska Wesleyan University located at 5000 Saint Paul Ave, Lincoln, NE 68504 Phone: (402) 466-2371 to find out when the Archieves is open because it is open very limited times never on a weekend and never on a holiday. Good Luck with your search. J Olson Notify Administrator about this message?
