Hello,
I am looking for information regarding my grandmother, and also the parents of my grandmother, Ethel May Leach b. 01SEPT1917-d.26DEC1985. She and my Dad were very distant (he had not seen her since he was 14 years old), and he only spoke to her about 2x before she died; I never got to meet her, or to ever talk to her. My Dad is now dead too, so I feel like a little part of me is missing, or forever lost.
Ethel's parents are shown on her birth certificate as Elisha E. LEACH, and Martha SARENSEN. Elisha was actually born as Soloman HATTERY, and adopted in Monona County IA. But, my aunt thinks Martha may actually have been named Martha BURCH. My grandmother Ethel May was born in Battle Creek NE. Martha Sarensen/Burch had MANY brothers and sisters (per a copy of her obituary), and my Dad had told me that this side of the family was Danish (and that they spoke & wrote it too). Would like to know anything about any of these lines. Thanks to anyone for their help!!
