Hi Dorothy, I will start out by saying look no farther you have listed my great-grandfather, grandfather and aunts from Valley Nebraska. My name is John Lawton Butcher III which I am located in Winnemucca Nevada. My father John Lawton Butcher Jr. located in Richland Washington is the son of John L Butcher (Sr.) of Valley Nebraska. John Sr. or otherwise known to me as Grandpa Butcher used to own and operate the Star Cafe there in Valley. Later in years he owned and operated a fireworks stand. Grandpa Butcher served in World War II serving in the Army as a Sergeant. He passed away from cancer, I believe in the mid-70s. My father has done research on the Butcher family and yes we are from England. His research also shows that John Butcher who did not have a middle initial did serve in the American Spanish war with Theodore as one of the rough Riders. I will contact my father since he has more information than I do on our family. But this should help you out somewhat. Just to add a little more information. Grandpa Butcher had two boys when he was married to Helen. I believe that grandma Helens maiden name was Clark (I think but not sure). Also, a little town out from Valley called Waterloo where we have more relatives. I remember them as uncle Oscar and aunt Mary. I hope that this helps. John L Butcher Sr had two sons John and Douglas Butcher John L. Butcher Jr. had four sons, John, Jerry, Jim and Jeff Douglas Butcher one son and three daughters Douglas Jr., Michelle, Colette, and Sherry. Notify Administrator about this message?
