John,

I am so thrilled to hear from you! You are then a 2nd(?) cousin of mine. I have had many conversations with your father (my first cousin), and he has been so kind to send me information on the family. But you have given me additional information I did not have. I always wondered about the missing middle initial in my grandfather's name (John, Sr.), having at first assumed it must be L. for Lawton, thinking my Uncle Lawton (your grandfather) was named after him. But now that mystery is solved, as well as some others regarding specific names of the cafe, Johnny's and Douglas' children, etc. I'm sure your dad told me the latter, but I didn't have it in writing. Growing up, I knew Eunice, Nellie, and Lawton, and I've met with your dad on a couple of occasions. Hopefully, I'll get to meet you sometime. Thank you so much for this information!

Best,
Dorothy
