George Ash died June 1913, Alliance, Butte Box, Nebraska after the accident happened in Edgemont, SD they took him to Alliance. He was buried Broken bow, NE. by his mother Indiana/Anna Carter Ash. George and Mary had a daughter Ione who was one year old when George died according to his obit and a big article in newspaper.
My mother had photo's of Iona and her mother, but she only wrote Iona's name. I found a death record in CA for a Iona Glenora Shannon who was born June 1912 and it states her father's surname is Ash and her mother's maiden name Nietfeld. A cousin found the marriage record for George Ash & Mary Nietfeld in Fall river, SD. There are no other George Ash's this could be.. He was born 1 Feb 1889, Broken Bow, NE.
