I am looking for information concerning a John A. Kearney, born in Iowa, who died in Otoe County, Nebraska in October 1906. He was buried in the Wyuka Cemetery. He married Edna C. Pierce and they had two children: Richard D. Kearney, born about 1903 in Nebraska, and Catherine Edna Kearney, born 13 June 1905 in Nebraska.
Edna and Catherine died in San Bernardino County, California in 1963 and 1988 respectively.
Was this John A. Kearney also known as "Alex" or "Alexander" Kearney? Was he married previously to a Lora M. Rogers, who died in Johnson County, Kansas in 1891? Did they have a son, Joseph L. Kearney, who was born a month prior to Lora's death in Kansas? Joseph was raised by two maiden aunts in Louisa County, Iowa. By the time of the 1910 census Joe was living in Nebraska City, Otoe County, Nebraska.
I am trying to find out if this John A. Kearney was one of the sons of Richard Kearney and his wife Narcissa Jackson of Louisa County, Iowa. That John A. Kearney was born about 1851.
