Looking for info about these families and contact with other cousins in order to share info.
My grandmother, Grace Luella CHILES (m. Everitte Brandon BREGA), was a daughter of Logan Wiley CHILES and Martha Malita REXER, and had seven sisters and one brother. They lived in the NE City area.
Logan's parents were Richard Ballinger CHILES (29 in the 1860 census, b.KY) and Permelia G. ENYART (24 in the 1860 census, b. MO), from Daviess Co, MO. His parents died when he was young (shortly after the Civil War), and he was reared by his maternal uncle, Logan ENYART, who was well-known in NE City. I am particularly interested in finding out what became of Logan C's three older siblings, Richard, Emily, & Lucy.
Martha's parents were John Jacob Rexer and Mary Emily Bennet(t). This is the line I know the least about. John Jacob appears to have been born in Wirtemburg (Wuerttemberg). Mary Emily was probably born in NY. Seeking any and all info, even speculation, on this line. There are not too many Rexers out there, so would think many would be related. Conversely, there are zillions of Bennetts, so any help pinpointing the family would be welcome.
