Neale/ Neal/ Nail, of St.Trudy Village, Cornwall, England
I have traced my grandmother’s Neale family back to William NAIL (ca 1767- ca 1850) and wife Ann PHILIP (1772-ca 1755) in St. Trudy Village, Cornwall, England.
William & Ann NAIL had children William (April 02, 1797- ?) & Robert (ca 1800-?)in St. Trudy.
The name is spelt NAIL in the 1851 British census, but NEAL in later censuses.
William Nail/Neal(1797-?) and wife Sarah lived in St. Teath, Cornwall, England.
Robert Nail/Neal (1800-?) and wife Elizabeth stayed in St Trudy, and had the following children:
1) John, born March 13, 1823, married Jane Warne, moved to Glandford, Ontario, Canada in 1851.Spelt NEALE in Ontario.
2) Elizabeth, born ca 1827
3) Robert, born ca 1836
4) Samuel, born March 1839, stayed in St Trudy till after 1871
5) Mary A., born ca 1841
6) William, born ca 1846, he and wife Rebecca lived in St. Teath, Cornwall England and produced 9 children between 1870-1890.
Any distant relatives out there?
