Jeanie, Ulft was a part of the parish of Gendringen (with the towns Etten, Ulft, Gendringen, Netterden and Megchelen). In the archive registers (‘retro-acta’) you find: see second attach. There is no Anna Catharina Evers born-baptized on 3 September 1799 in the baptismal registers of Gendringen. There are: 6 Julii 1785 Baptizata est Anna Catharina. Parentes Hendrick Evers et Gerrarda Waalbroeks. Patrini Hendrik Waalbroek et Margaretha Evers. (6 July 1785 Baptized is Anna Catharina. Parents Hendrick Evers and Gerrarda Waalbroeks. Sponsors Hendrik Waalbroek and Margaretha Evers.) 12 Septembris 1792 Baptizata est spuria Anna Catharina. Parentes pater Gerardus Klaasen ut dicit mater; mater Anna Margaritha Evers. Patrini Hendrik Evers et Anna Getrud Wolbrunk. (12 September 1792 Baptized is bastard/adulterous child Anna Catharina. Parents father Gerardus Klaasen as says the mother; mother Anna Margaritha Evers. Sponsors Hendrik Evers and Anna Getrud Wolbrunk.) Only as sponsor: 25 Mayi 1802 Baptizata est Henricus filius legitimus Joannis Wilhelmi Philipsen et Joanna Mechtildis Stegeman conjunctum. Susceptores Hermen Kaal et Joanna Evers. (25 May 1802 Baptized is Henricus legal son of Joannes Wilhelmus Philipsen and Joanna Mechtildis Stegeman married. Sponsors Hermen Kaal and Joanna Evers.) On the first picture you may see that the word illegitima (illegal child) is crossed out and changed by spuria (bastard). But it is a bad picture. If the girl born on 12 Sept. 1792 is your ancestor, then on her turn her daughter was illegal too: the same surname. So I think that is why she moved to Germany. The name of her daughter is Margaretha, the same name as her mothers second given name. The average age for a girl to marry was 25; for a boy 30. I'll send the (bad) photo's of the baptismal registers by mail.
