More about Jacob Neumann Milwaukee
Jacob Christian Neumann, Brother of Hans Ellingsen, one year younger than Jacob, These two brothers were parted in America in (circa) 1927/8, Jacob remained in America until his death in 1974, Hans returned to Norway. Jacob had two sons, Nyle and Rollin, Hans had one son Harry Jacob Neumann, who remained in Norway. This Harry is seeking the descendants of His Uncle Jacob, and their descendants, because he has a family history book dating back to the 16th century. Harry Jacob Neumann is now 74 years old, living in Spain, he is the last of the male line, and is anxious to pass on his knowledge of the family, plus photographs, to any of the younger descendants of the family who may be interested. For example, Bishop Jacob Neumann, of Bergen, who famously wrote to the early Norwegian settlers of their own country, is one of their ancestors. The first Ancestor originaly came from Germany to Denmark and his name was then Pedersen/Neumann, from there to Norway, Stavanger, and circa 1700 produced a large family, who became Neumann. Thereafter the family has become comprehensively documented in a family book, printed and verified in 1903. We have diligently tried to follow it from the births of Hans and Jacob (born 1901-2) to the present day. Thus this long message, because the last of the male line, were born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, are you interested? if so please post a message on this forum. I would be very happy to hear from you, first of all because you are ourfamily descendants, and also because I have a great deal of information which maybe of great interest to you. I am old, butnot as old as our family book and I should really like to hear from you. Takk
