Descendents of George and Thurza Doman Newberry
I am looking for connections to George and Thurza Doman Newberry. They came to America, from Maiden Bradley,in 1870 with a son, Jasper, who was 1 year old at the time. Both were 22 years old when they emigrated. They settled in Elbridge, NY and had several other children: Alonzo, Ada, Mable, Charlotte.I have found several spellings of Newberry, but can anyone connect them to others in Maiden Bradley?Thurza's father was George Doman and he had a brother named LB Doman who founded the Amphion Player Piano company in Elbridge and was the inventor of a specific player piano. Both George and LB came from Maiden Bradley, although I don't know if they emigrated at the same time as George and Thurza. My father was Donald Estes, the son of Charlotte Newberry Estes and Harvey Earl Estes.I have a picture of Thurza as a elderly woman if it would help.
