Lois Hansen NIckless 1923-2011
NICKLESS, Lois Hansen
Lois passed away peacefully on September 3, 2011. She was born to James and Lovina Hansen on July 30, 1923 in Sacramento. She married Jess Nickless on January 17, 1943 in Sacramento and they were together for 53 years until his death on March 16, 1996. She was also predeceased by her brother, Don Hansen.
She is survived by her sons Gary and wife Kathy of Citrus Heights, Gregory and wife Debbie of Sacramento and Geoffrey and wife Barbara of Folsom. Grandmother of Liesl Schulz and husband Jeff and great-grandmother to Liam Schulz. Survived by brother-in-law Ed Mores of Sacramento and nephew Jim Mores and wife Kathy of Orangevale. Survived by 4 step-grandchildren Stephanie Brown, Kelly Denton (Manuel Tobias), Sean Denton and James Denton (Janel Preston) and 5 step-great-grandchildren.
Lois attended North Sacramento Grammar School and graduated from Grant Union High School.
She was a member of El Camino Chapter Order of the Eastern Star for over 50 years, Woodlake Garden Club, Woodlake Neighborhood Association, Woodlake Mother's Club, Grant Union High School Alumni Association-Grant Girls, Rancho del Paso Historical Society and the Women's Forum.
Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM Thursday, September 8 at the North Sacramento Funeral Home, 725 El Camino Ave., Sac. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
