Thank you so much for responding to my message and clearing up this mystery. Is it safe to guess that, if Margaret and Joseph had 30 years together, they were married in 1924? Iím curious why, then, in her momís 1939 obituary she is still listed as Mrs. Henry Bilz.

Who did Charles marry?

Where did you get the name Truppman for Margaretís mom? I have three separate documents, each giving her a different last name (Troopman, Trappman, Troppman). Thatís the first I have seen of Truppman.

Margaret and my granddad, John William Heckler, are siblings.

I have a 1973 obituary for Floyd F. Bilz, who is Henryís brother. In this obituary he lists among his siblings, Charles Nicosia. Do you have any idea why it would say that since he was not even blood related? He was the uncle of any kids Margaret and Henry had. That one has me confused.

I have a large collection of scanned documents, including many obituaries, on my website. Please go to There are a lot of pictures also that you will find interesting.

I would love to see Margaretís obituary, photo and read anything you may have about her. I am just very grateful that you responded to GenForum!

Thanks Rosemary!
