I just stumbled onto this site tonight. Your message mentioned Cologera Nicosia. My grandmother's name was Cologera Nicosia, her maiden name was Panzika. She was from a small town in Sicily, and later moved to Buffolo, NY. I don't know if she is the same Cologera you mentioned, but I will look into this.
