All,
I am a direct descendent of Sibbel Taylor b: July 25, 1743 in Hopkinton, Massachusetts.
I am looking for verification that Sibbel Taylor is the daughter of Mary Nims.
The line goes as follows:
Godfrey Nims + Mary Miller
-John Nims + Elizabeth Hull
--Mary Nims + John Taylor
---Sibbel Taylor
I have verified that Mary Nims and John Taylor were married. However, not all sources have Sibbel as the daughter of John and Mary.
A couple of points:
- Sibbel was baptised a year before John Taylor and Mary Nims were married (1743 vs 1744).
- There are many sources that have Sibbel as the daughter, but many neglect to mention her and list the first child being born in 1745.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Any help would be appreciated.
