Susan, I sincerely hope this descent is correct. It was passed along to me back in 1994 but I did nothing about it until last year when I had the opportunity to visit the
Mid-Continent Library in Independence MO and found the Nims Book.
This is my line as I have it:
Godfrey NIMS - Mary Miller
John NIMS - Elizabeth Hull
Mehitable NIMS - Jonathan SMEAD
Mehitable SMEAD - Agrippa WELLS
Rufus WELLS - Prudence NEWTON
Prudence WELLS - Daniel STRONG
Harriet STRONG - Zera BLAKELY
Hulda Blakely-Nathaniel VAN CLEAVE
Roy VAN CLEAVE-Nell VANDERBURG
Edith VAN CLEAVE-Clyde JAMESON
Cleta JAMESON - Bill TERRELL
I know the line from Daniel Strong on down is correct. My great grandmother Hulda Blakely was from the second marriage of Harriet Strong. I have information from Harriet and Zera Blakely on down through my grandchildren.
