I neglected to tell you that the old Sacred Heart Church building is located on Washington St. in Mount Holly. The building is still there and was purchased by another church when the new Sacred Heart Church was completed and is still is in use, as far as I know. If your Shannon family was Roman Catholic, it's likely the church they attended.

The Sacred Heart Cemetery ( formerly St. Mary's Cemetery ) is 2-3 blocks up the street where Washington Street becomes Marne Highway. There are still a number of older homes on both sides of the street, but there have been changes with old homes torn down for other purposes, generally for businesses. If you can pinpoint the house number, perhaps, the home is still there.

Also, I notice that your family name is Hoffman. Do you have any connection to the Hoffman family of the Mount Holly/Smithville/ Ewansville area? My g-g-grandfather's sister, Margaret Stilts, married a George Hoffman whose family settled in the Camden County area after immigrating here from Germany around 1830 or thereabouts. Elizabeth and George Hoffman's property in the Ewansville/Birmingham area was in the Hoffman family from 1853 through 2001.
