Can someone help me sort out this family, maybe someone is already familiar with them.
Actually I'm trying to find the parents of Harriet Springer who married Richard Smith. They are in the 1870 census, Dennis, and Seaville is the PO. 'Haddy' is age 28. That could be Richard's mother and brother above them.
In the 1860 census is Pheebe Springer with children William and Harriet. Harriet is age 18. They are in Middle, Cape May, New Jersey, Court House is the PO. I have been told that William probably married Julia Townsend.
In the 1850, there is a Phebe Springer, with daughter Harriet age 8, but no William, but with a John age 18 and no children inbetween. Also what looks like a Charles age 6.
Phebe is also in the 1880, middle, Cape May, NJ but I can't see who else is in the home as the images for the 1880 don't seem to be loading for me today.
Does anyone know this family? Or families..not sure if this is the same Phebe/Pheebe. Pheebe's ages in all years match up.
