I am looking for anyone with information of the Jacob Powell family . My grandmother was his daughter, Jennie (Jane)Powell. I have traced this line back to Jacob's parents, Joseph and Mary , but can't get any information passed them. I am connected to the Suttons through my great-grandmother, Adalaid Sutton, Jacob's second wife who in turn was a cousin of his first wife, Catharine Chambers. They are all buried in Eldora Methodist Cemetery along with his brother, Dan B. Powell, killed in the Civil War. I would appreciate any names and dates regarding my family and will be happy to share what I have found.
