Hello Cherie, I have the information that you are looking for, but you may already have it since it's been nearly two years since you've posted this query. How they are related to Frank I. Garretson & each other: Ruben L. Garretson (1837-1926) & Annie E. Garretson (1840-1927) are Frank's Grandparents. Townsend W. Garretson (1866-1950), Milton W. Garretson (1875-1937) & Reuben L. Garretson (1880-1967)are brothers, and the sons of Ruben L. & Annie E. Garretson above. Townsend W. Garretson & Milton W. Garretson are Frank's Uncles. Reubin L. Garretson (1880-1967)and his wife, Caroline (1882-1967) are Frank's parents. Lela A. Garretson (1882-1964)is the wife of Milton W. Garretson, and the Aunt by marriage to Frank. Marion Garretson (1914-) is the daughter of Milton W. & Lela A. Garretson, making her Frank's paternal first cousin. Alden P. Garretson (7/18/1910-1-21-1991)is Frank's brother, making Pearl W. Garretson (1914-1996)his sister-in-law. I don't know who Ida L. Garretson is or how she fits in. I didn't see any family names with the initials of her parents, R.S. & G.G. I checked out census records from 1850 thru 1930 and found the families in Atlantic County, NJ. The 1850 Census goes back one more generation, Frank's Great Grandfather was also named Reuben. 1850 Census: Enumerated on August 15, 1850. Weymouth Township, Atlantic County, NJ. REUBEN GARRETSON, 44 (b. abt. 1806), Laborer, Value of Real Estate owned: $800., b. PA. Note: I believe this is incorrect, as all other census records say that he and his wife were born in NJ. The enumerator put PA at the top of the list and dittoed PA down the list for everyone on it. (Frank's paternal Great Grandfather) HANNAH GARRETSON, 42 (b. abt. 1808), (Frank's paternal Great Grandmother). TOWNSEND GARRETSON, 23 (b. abt. 1827), Laborer. MILLICENT GARRETSON, 21 (b. abt. 1829). MARY GARRETSON, 19 (b. abt. 1831). JOBE GARRETSON, 16 (b. abt. 1834). RACHEL GARRETSON, 18 (b. abt. 1832). REUBEN GARRETSON, 12 (b. abt. 1838) (Frank's paternal Grandfather). All of Reuben's above siblings are Frank's paternal Granduncles & Grandaunts. Frank's paternal Grandparents, REUBEN L. (Truck Farm Farmer), b.Mar. 1837, d. 1926 & ANNIE E., b. Nov. 1840, d. 1927 GARRETSON & their children were: TOWNSEND W. GARRETSON, b. Nov. 1866,d. 1950, ANNIE D.GARRETSON, b March 1871, MILTON WESCOTT GARRETSON, b. Oct.2,1875, d. 1937., m. LELA A. and had a daughter, MARJORE GARRETSON, b. in NJ abt. 1915 (Frank's paternal first cousin) (Note: Marjore may be Marion or they had two daughters, Marion & Marjore, born a year apart) & REUBEN L.S. GARRETSON, b. Oct. 27, 1880 in Tuckahoe, d. May 1967 NJ(Frank's father). They owned their own farm on Head of the River Road in Tuckahoe, Weymouth Township in Atlantic County, NJ - 1900 thru 1920 Census records. Parents and siblings of Frank's and Frank himself: REUBEN L., b. 1880 in NJ & CAROLINE "CALLIE" (LEE) GARRETSON, b. 1882 in NJ (Frank's parents) & their children (his siblings & himself): ALDEN P. GARRETSON, b. in NJ July 18, 1910, d. Jan. 21, 1991 (enlisted in the Army at Ft. Dix, NJ on April 1, 1942), m. PEARL W., b. 1914, d. 1996, EDYTH/EDITH GARRETSON, b. in NJ abt. 1919, & FRANK I. GARRETSON, b. in NJ July 18, 1921, m. NELLIE B., b. JULY 10, 1918, d. Sept. 23, 2003. In the 1920 Census, the family was living in a rental in Tuckahoe, Weymouth Township, Atlantic County, NJ, and his father was a laborer for the U.S. Gov't. In 1930, Frank's father was a Highway Patrol Officer. At this time they resided at 719 Calhoun Street (a rental for $10.00 a mo.) in Hamilton Township, Atlantic County, NJ.
