My grandmother had a postcard dated August 24. 1927. The card is sent: Mrs. R. N (?) Davis 73 Columbia Ave, Vineland NJ DEAR MOTHER We arrived safely Sunday nite to Aunt Elfie's. We picked Uncle Ed up on the way and brought him along. All are well. How are you making out with the children? Hope everything is OK. Dolly the front of the card has a Seventh Day Baptist Church in Salem, WVA. The postmark is also Salem WVA. The only Dolly in our family would have been Dolly Perkins Seabolt (unless she married someone else before Seabolt). Her mother was Samantha (Phelps/Perkins) We have information that leads to Samantha marrying in 1894 to William John Coly after Solomon Perkins Died. I am try to figure out who Dear Mother or Mrs. R. Davis would have been. Could have been a mother in law? Does anyone have census information for 1920 or town register of 1927. If for some reason this is not my Dolly, I would love to know. Thanks in advance for any leads. Notify Administrator about this message?
