James Baremore LEEDS was born 1762 in NJ. He married Rhody BYARD 28 Feb 1875 in Galloway, Gloucester Co, NJ and in 1806 they removed to Ohio, originally settling in Moscow, Clermont Co.
I am interested in his ancestors. I have several published reports of the descendants of Thomas LEEDS, b ca 1620, who immigrated to America in 1676, down through John LEEDS, b 1740, married to Elizabeth GIFFIN. I have not found any proof that James LEEDS, b 1762, is a son of John and Elizabeth. John names only a daughter, Mary (married name TURNER), in his will. However, it is suggested that James does descend from John. I look forward to hearing from others.
