I have found no connection between John Brown and Col. Robert Brown, of the Gloucester Co. militia. I have found much info. on Robert and his wife Rachel. Their home on the Raccoon Creek was burned by British sympathizers while Robert was away. The couple died around 1795 and appointed David Brown as guardian of his children, one of which was Elizabeth. David Brown was a son of John & Phebe Brown. I know Robert and his father John and other family are buried at Trinity Churchyard in Swedesboro. I believe they had a store in Swedesboro after the Rev. If I find anything else, I will contact you.
