In the Chicago Voter Registration, 1888 and 1892, Edward Sheridan stated he was naturalized in Hudson Co., NJ in 1876.
This is my Great Grandfather Edward Sheridan born 1855 in Corneenflynn, Glangevlin, Co. Cavan, Ireland. Son of Phil "Phildy" Sheridan.
His wife is Mary "Foxy" McGovern of Mully Lower, Glangevlin, Co. Cavan, Ireland. Daughter of Owen "Foxy" McGovern of Mully Lower and Biddy "Red Pat" Cassidy of Coppenabane.
In the 1900 United States Federal Census, I found:

His niece, Ellen Sheridan, daughter of Patrick Sheridan and Bridget McHugh was married in New Jersey to Michael McGovern about 1904. Both are from Glangevlin, Co. Cavan, Ireland.
