My McHugh ancestors were, as my father used to put it, the OTHER McHughs. My great grandfather was also named Thomas E. McHugh, but he had emigrated from Ireland around 1895, and his son, Thomas F., was born in JC. Your family is listed in the 1930 census because I have seen the sheet, but I did not save it for myself because I knew they weren't my ancestors. I believe there was a mother, and three or four sons all living under the same roof, and my recollection is also that the address was Barthodi Avenue. If I find the information again, I will contact you. My father, whose name was Arthur McHugh, used to talk about some confusion between the families and relatives in Pennsylvania contacting his mother thinking she was related, or that my mother was related to the Elizabeth McHugh that was related to the other family. I believe that another Thomas from JC was killed during WWII, and is was posthumously awarded a medal for the circumstances related to his death - again, not related to my family, and I did not keep the information, but it is online somewhere - possibly on Ancestry. Sorry I can't be of more help to you.
