In view of the rather extensive additional information on Ephraim Oliphant provided in the follow-up posting by Pat Duncan on the Loudoun Co., VA, forum--particularly with regard to tax lists and tithables--I have decided already to post a revised chronology for him, incorporating her findings. Obviously, I have not been as detailed as she. But I think the additional data represent a significant enhancement to what was an admittedly tentative outline. I hope that others will contribute any further information they may have as it becomes available. Again, I wish to acknowledge Pat's contributions, a good part of which come from her "Index to the 1782-1850 Loudoun Co. Personal Property Tax Lists."
