Olive, sorry your having trouble finding your Palmer. On 9-28-1799 Albartes Ringo received a letter from David and E. Palmer in Mason Co, Ky. During the last decade of the 18th century, Hunterdon Co lost a large number of inhabitants, who moved west in search of cheap land. The Palmers lived close to Ringo's tavern and wrote: "We are well at present blessed by God. Would be glad to see you all again but do not expect to see you in this world. I now live in a new Country. I like the Country much. I think it will make a fine country in time. It in proves very fast. He tax is low and I have 605 akers of land. Children is all married but tue and has land of there one."
Most of the Ringo family left Ringoes and like the Palmers went to Kentucky. I am the last Ringo to live in Ringoes. Still miss my old house, the 4th house from the church on John Ringo Road
