Ringo meets Queen Elizabeth II

I attended the 200th Annual Anniversary Celebration of the Battle of Trafalgar aboard the HMS Victory at Portsmouth, England in October last year. There were 31 Americans aboard the HMS Victory and the Royal Navy wanted an American in Uniform to represent us Yanks. I was the Yank. When I was presented to Queen Elizabeth, I thanked her for England's support in the Middleeast War. Wonder if she would have been willing the shake my hand if she knew I was desended from the Ringo family that helped start the Revolution at Ringo's Ole Tavern back in 1774.
