Does anyone know of a pre-1855/56 city directory for New Brunswick? Or do you know if the 1855/56 edition was in fact the first one? Given that Philadelphia and other larger cities had directories published during the 1790s-1810s, I would think that New Brunswick, though of smaller population, would have had one published at least by the early 1800s, but perhaps not.
