Seeking additional information on the Hagerman family of Monmouth County in early 1800s.

James Hagerman of Shark River Village area of what was then Shrewsbury Township, married Catherine Herbert of Howell in 1834. (Looking for more information on Catherine Herbert also).

From deed records it appears that James was the son of John Hagerman who bought property im Shark River area in the 1820s. John Hagerman died in about 1828-1829 and left widow Phebe and children - Hester, Catherine, James, George, Jane and John P.L. Hagerman.
Hester married David Morton, Catherine married John Talmadge, James married Catherine Herbert, George married Eliza White, Jane married Eden Howland and John moved west in 1850's and married Mary.

Except for John P.L. Hagerman, all of children of John and Phebe stayed in Monmouth County, Shark River area.

I am seeking information on these families and in particular, John Hagerman and his wife Phebe. Phebe lived until sometime in the 1850's and from census records it appears she was born about 1795.

I have not been able to place John Hagerman, although the 1793 Militia Census for Monmouth County, shows a James Hagerman and a Johnson Hagerman.

Any information greatly appreciated.
