I'm researching Charles Poole, c1840-45 NJ, and his wife Mary Flood, abt 1840-45 Ireland.
Charles was an orphan, first appearing in Holmdel in 1850, raised by the Peter S. Conover family so I don't hold out much hope of finding out his parentage or if he had any siblings.
Mary Flood appears in Atlantic Township in the 1865 state census and it looks like she's working for Samuel T. Vanderveer & his wife Catherine. Mary's death certificate says her parents were Matthew Flood and Eleanor Prescott.
I'm trying to find out if Mary had any siblings. There was a Flood family in Red Bank then, with whom Father Killeen of St. James Catholic church was living. I don't know if they were related.
